Short History

A momentous occasion, a meeting of like minds molded by bravery and sacrifice in war, started a hand-holding institution in its mission to assist their fellow military men. World War II veterans from PMA Class of 1942 namely, Col. Felix Gonzalez and Col. Mateo Dizon, with supportive wives Aurora Gonzalez and Elma Dizon, along with Capt. Demetrio Copuyoc and his wife Teresita, established Diamond Finance Corporation in 1976. Retired military officers from PMA Class 1942 became their pioneer investors.

The primary clients of Diamond Finance are the retired personnel and beneficiaries of the Armed Forces of the Philippines. Through the years, it has expanded its market. The company now caters to retirees from Bureau of Fire Protection, Philippine Veterans Association Office, Government Service Insurance System, Social Security System and Philippine Coast Guard as well as its active personnel.

THROUGH THE YEARS

1976

Diamond Finance was founded. Its first and primary market was AFP Retirees and their beneficiaries. DFC's first office was at Makati Stock Exchange Building.

DFC moved its office to Diamond Building in EDSA, Cubao, Quezon City.

DFC held its very first house to house caravan in Lipa City, Batangas.

Officially accredited by AFP Finance Center under Association of Lending Investors for Pensioners, Inc.

The company's current market aside from AFP was GSIS and PVAO. Also started to market NAPOLCOM.

DFC Celebrated 25th Founding Anniversary

DFC climbed up from 4th to 2nd in the ALIP, and 6th in the over-all collection performance among all AFP accredited lendings.

DFC Reached its first 1 Billion in Assets
